| Alex Jordan (born Karen Elizabeth Mereness on September 20 1963; died July 2 1995) was a porn film actress. Jordan entered the adult business in 1992, answering an ad for a nude model. She was one of the first female pioneers of the gonzo porn sub-genre, which involved her making videos with non-professional actors. She was found hanging in her closet, an apparent suicide, on July 2, 1995; although there have been claims that she might have been murdered, to date this has yet to be proven. Jordan was one of several high-profile porn actors to commit suicide during the early 1990s; others included Savannah, Megan Leigh, and male actor Cal Jammer.
