| Alice Barrett (born December 19, 1956) is an American actress. She was born in New York, New York. She is also credited as Alice Barrett-Mitchell. Among her TV and movie credits, Alice is best known for her portrayal of nutty, offbeat private detective Frankie Frame Winthrop on the soap opera Another World from 1989 to 1996. The grisly and violent way her character died on Another World created a storm of controversy for the soap opera's executives and remains infamous in soap lore.
