| Allen Aynesworth (born April 14, 1864 in Berkshire; died August 22, 1959 in Surrey) was a British actor of the late Victorian Period. He performed the role of Algernon Moncreiff in the premiere production of 'The Importance of Being Earnest', later telling his biographer that "In my fifty-three years of acting, I never remember a greater triumph than the first night of 'The Importance of Being Earnest'."
