Amanda Joy Michalka, better known as AJ Michalka (born on April 10, 1991 in Torrance, California) is an American actress and singer. She has appeared on numerous television shows on stations such as ABC, The WB, and NBC. She used to be a model prior to becoming an actress.

Biography

Michalka started acting when she was nine years old. Since then both her and her older sister, Alyson Michalka, have lived in Seattle where they grew up; they moved there in 1992. There her parents made sure they were exposed to all varieties of music. Aly & AJ is the name of their singing partnership. When she was younger, she was in a number of WORD Music productions at her church in Southern California. This month, she made her Disney Channel debut in the Disney Channel Original Movie Cow Belles, as Courtney Callum, along with her older sister Alyson, as Taylor Callum. They also will star in Haversham Hall, a new Disney Channel Original Series set to premiere in Summer 2006.
