| Amanda Muggleton ( born 12 October 1947, London) is a British-born actor who emigrated to Australia in 1974. Chiefly remembered for her performance as tarty Chrissie Latham in the long-running TV drama Prisoner, she has gone on to become one of Australia's most successful and highly sought after theatre actors. Amanda Muggleton trained at London's Guildhall School of Music and Drama and the Royal Academy of Dance. She has appeared in several musical productions, including the Noel Coward show "Marvellous Party!", with Dennis Olsen, at the Cremorne Theatre at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre. Muggleton is qualified as a speech and drama teacher. She is also a public speaker and can pilot single-engine planes. In 2005, Muggleton received the Helpmann Award for Best Female Actor in a Supporting Role in a Musical for playing Mercedes Cortez in Eureka.
