Amy Steel (born in 1963) is an American actress who has starred in film and in television. Amy is best known for her role as Ginny Field in the 1981 horror film Friday the 13th Part 2
. She was asked to reprise the role for another film, but other people made that decision for her, and has stated that she wish that she had given the success of the film series. However, she did find a featured role in the 1986 horror/comedy film April Fool's Day
.

Amy has starred on TV shows and soap operas too. She starred on the CBS soap opera Guiding Light as Trudy Wilson from 1980-1981, she also starred in All My Children as Peggy Warner in 1980.

Amy starred on the short lived TV series The Powers of Matthew Star with Peter Barton, who starred in Friday the 13th: The Final Chapter
. Her other TV role was also in the short lived TV series For Love and Honor in 1983.

Amy has made guest appearances on various TV shows such as appearances range from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers
, Family Ties, CHiPs, The A-Team, Chicago Hope, Quantum Leap, Millennium and JAG.
