Amy and Emily Walton are twins who have shared the role of Bethany Platt on the soap Coronation Street since birth.

Tina O'Brien, who plays their on screen mother Sarah is Emily's godmother. When asked about baby Bethany in an interview she told the interviewer, "She's played by twins, Amy and Emily, and they're so beautiful and gorgeous."

Geena Davis, who used to act in Coronation Street, has said of the twins "they're little superstars."

The twins were born on the March 15, 2000 in Swinton, West Manchester, England. They have blonde hair. As they get older they are becoming less alike, however as babies it was hard for even their mother Shirley to tell which was which when watching an episode after taping! Commenting on which twin appeared in the episode of Bethany's first birthday, a spokeswoman for Granada television, home of Coronation Street, said "'we can honestly say we have no idea which child appears in the birthday sequence!"

For the scene in which Richard, Sarah's then stepfather drove the family van into the canal in 2003, Amy and Emily were fitted with tiny, custom made wetsuits. In an interview, Jack P Shepherd, who plays on-screen uncle David Platt, mentioned the canal scene, saying where they filmed the car underwater, they only needed to do one take and use one twin. However the other one was watching and was jealous of how much fun her sister had in the water. They ended up using her too! Tina O'Brien added when being interviewed on This Morning that they had to carefully edit the water scenes because the twins loved the water so much and looked like they were having fun! Amy and Emily, aged just two at the time, even managed to do their own stunts for the scene. Tina said "She (Emily) was fantastic. She even did the gasps for breath. "I had to keep hold of her, but we had a giggle because Emily loves swimming and she kept shouting "Again, again" when the director shouted cut. Then she kept wriggling from my arms because she wanted to show me how she can swim on her own."
