| Andrea Bowen (born March 4, 1990 in Columbus, Ohio) is an American actress best known for playing Julie Mayer on Desperate Housewives (the daughter of divorcee Susan Mayer, played by Teri Hatcher). She started acting at age 6 on Broadway, was a member of the group The Broadway Kids, and has had recurring roles in such shows as Nip/Tuck, One Tree Hill, Boston Public and Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. Her character Julie Mayer is most noteworthy for being much more mature than her mother as well as giving her advice on dating. Her next role will be the new voice of Young Faline in Bambi II.
