Ann Carter (June 16, 1936 - October 14, 1978), American Child Actress

Born June 16, 1936, in Syracuse, New York, died in a car accident at age 42. Ann Carter started her film acting career at age 5 with various uncredited parts. Her big break came at age 8, when she took on the part of Amy Reed in Curse of the Cat People, a Val Lewton film, produced at RKO Studios, co-directed by Robert Wise and Gunther von Fritsch. She continued to act until age 13, took a break, then returned one more time at age 16 for the part of Doris in The Member of the Wedding
, directed by Fred Zinnemann
