Anya Lahiri (born May 1 1982 in Golders Green, London, United Kingdom) is a British singer who was in the girl group Precious. She attended the Henrietta Barnett School in Hampstead Garden Suburb. She is half Bengali half Finnish. Her father is a Prabhir Lahiri a chemical engineer from India and her mother Anita Lahiri from Finland, her sister is the television producer Dee Lahiri. Anya was engaged to Duncan James. Since Precious split up, she has returned to her education, attending Birkbeck College in London, while continuing to model part-time. During the last 5 years, as a student, Anya has modelled for a range of brands, including Asda and Asos. She has also been the cover-girl for magazines such as Company and More. In 2003, she was one of the FHM PitGirls. Last year, she started a new career as an actress, appearing in the movie Tornado with Daniel Bernhardt, and in The Grooming with Jacqueline Bisset.
