Azela Robinson (born August 26, 1965 in London, England) is a Mexican actress.

Born in the United Kingdom to an English father and a Mexican mother, Azela Robinson studied in the Old Vin Drama Workshop (1980 - 1982) and soon after, she enrolled in the National Theatre Workshop (1982 - 1983). Years later, She had to leave her country and her family behind to look for new job opportunities. That is when she arrived in Mexico, where she began her career as an actress and participated in countless telenovelas. She has also appeared in films and on stage. In 2005, Azela returned to the small-screen in the telenovela Contra viento y marea.

Years later she had to leave her country and her family to seek new opportunities of work and its because of it that she arrived in Mexico, where has participated in a great quantity of soap operas such as:

El árbol vacío, in 1991; Mátalos Johnny, in 1991; Tiempo de llorar, in 1996; La joya más preciada, in 1997; La última esperanza, in 1993; Pobre niña rica, in 1995; Cañaveral de pasiones; in 1996; La usurpadora, in 1998; Laberintos de pasión, in 1999; Mi destino eres tú; in 2000; El manantial , in 2001; La otra, in 2002 and in 2003 she takes part in Bajo la misma piel with Kate del Castillo, Juan Soler, Diana Bracho and Alejandro Camacho.

The television has not been the only middle in which the actress has developed therefore she has also entered in theater and in the movies.

Some of the plays in which she has worked in are: Todos a la Piscina, in 1991; Trilogía amorosa, in 1993; Cena de matrimonios, in 1994; Quién le teme a Virginia Wolf, in 1995 and La casa de Bernarda Alba to mention just a few.

Pelea de colosos, in 1993; Cuentos de suspenso, in 1992; De entre las sombras, in 1993; Entre el amor y la muerte, in 1994; La dama de la noche, in 1994; El extensionista, in 1991; Los insepultos, in 1991; La dama y el judicial, in 1994, they are only some of the 40 movies that has filmed.

Thanks to her performances and her talents she has done deservingly well even with an inumerable amount of recognitions among the ones that are found:

Premio ATCP 1995 as best supporting actress in drama, Prize ACE 1998, Premio Sol de Oro 1999, Premio ACE 1999, Gold Palms Prize 2000, Prize Gran Aguila de Venezuela 2000 and Los Premios Palmas de Oro 2001.
