Azumi Kawashima (川島和津実 Kawashima Azumi, born August 8 1979 in Tokyo, Japan) is a Japanese idol and one of the most well-known stars of Japanese AV pornography. Starring in her first adult video (AV) at the age of seventeen, Kawashima rapidly rose in under two years to become the highest paid star of AV of the late 1990s.

During her career, Kawashima posed in hundreds of nudes and non-nudes for various Japanese adult magazines such as URECCO and Beppin School. Popular in Japan, she also became a favourite both in Japan and in the West for her innocent demeanour and large breasts. In 1999, Kawashima reached the apogee of her success, being ranked top AV star by the Japanese pornography industry. In September of that year, she retired from making movies and has since then held a relatively low profile.

In all Kawashima has starred in 8 original titles and 2 re-releases, featuring in the conventional fantasy roles of Japanese pornography, such as the nurse, the young wife, the schoolgirl etc. Her portfolio also includes the release of 4 photobooks.
