| Barbara Young is a United Kingdom-based actor. She most recently played the long-running role of gossipy yet loveable Sadie Hargreaves in soap opera Family Affairs. Sadie, a former theatre actor turned barmaid, was a key figure in the show from 1998 until 2005, making her one of the show's longest serving characters. She was axed from the show by new producer Sean O'Connor, much to the anger and disappointment of the show's fans, both old and new.
