Bibbe Hansen is the daughter of the Fluxus artist Al Hansen (a Norwegian American), one of the key figures in the Andy Warhol Factory, and the Bohemian poet Audrey Ostlin Hansen (who was half Swedish and half Jewish). She also is the mother of the eclectic musical virtuoso Beck Hansen and Channing 'Phactory' Hansen. Bibbe fully integrated herself in the Warhol scene at the early age of thirteen with her lead role in Warhol’s film, Prison. She also appeared in Warhol's Restaurant, 10 Beautiful Girls and 10 More Beautiful Girls.

Bibbe also recorded an album on Laurie Records with Jack Kerouac’s daughter, Janet, in a band called The Whippets. Around 1990-1995, Bibbe with other support opened the Troy Café in Los Angeles and joined the band Black Fag with lead singer Vaginal Davis.
