Bill Hunter (born February 27, 1940) is an Australian actor who has featured in many of Australia's most notable films over the past 30 years. Fans of the Pixar feature film Finding Nemo
will recognise his voice as that of the dentist.

In 2005 the painting of Bill Hunter by artist Jason Benjamin won the packing room prize at the Archibald Prize.

Also in 2005 was the infamous "Windy" pub incident where Bill threatened a man after he heard the man calling him a c***. The man threatened Bill with a "smack to the head", but the incident fizzled out. Bill later described the man as being "a couple of sandwich's short of a picnic".

After this incident, Bill's trust for the public was destroyed, and he became a recluse, and hence retired from acting. Bill commented that he didn't feel safe being in public anymore.
