Billy Campbell (born July 7, 1959) is an actor who starred in the television series Once and Again. He was born in Charlottesville, Virginia. He also played a gay character in Amistead Maupin's Tales of the City, More Tales of the City, and Further Tales of the City. He is currently guest starring on The OC.

Campbell was the second choice of the producers of Star Trek: The Next Generation to play the role of William Riker, but lost the role to Jonathan Frakes. Campbell would later appear as a guest star in the second season episode The Outrageous Okona.

In 2000, he was named one of the "World's 50 Most Beautiful People" by People magazine.

Recently, he has made a successful career out of playing villains, such as a messianic alien abduction survivor on The 4400, a college professor accused of raping a student on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, and serial killer Ted Bundy in the made-for-TV movie The Stranger Beside Me, based on true crime author Ann Rule's book.

According to Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, he is 6' 4" and 200 lbs.
