Bonnie Kathleen Wright (born February 17, 1991 in London, England to Gary Wright and Sheila Teague Wright) is an English actress most famous for her role in the Harry Potter films as Ginny Weasley.

Wright was originally cast as Ginny for a small scene in the first film set in King's Cross station. Her role became more prominent with the second movie, in which Ginny battles with a crush on Harry, the powers of a secret diary, and her own tormented conscience. Ginny's role in the third film was significantly smaller, leaving Wright with only one line of dialogue. The character became a bonafide supporting character in the forth film, with dialogue sprinkled across several scenes and perhaps the most screentime yet. She confirmed at the London premiere of Goblet of Fire that she would be returning for the fifth film, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.

Although it has not been announced if she will be reprising her role as Ginny Weasley in the last two Potter films, in recent interviews she has said she is interested in continuing her role.

Wright enjoys dancing, art, travelling, and playing musical instruments like the piano, recorder and saxophone, as well as sports such as soccer, swimming, tennis, riding, ice skating, cycling and surfing. She also gets tutored during filming since she is only 15-years-old, and, like most of the other cast members, has not finished school. One of Wright's good friends is Afshan Azad, who costarred with her in the fourth Harry Potter film, as Padma Patil.
