Actors - Butterflies

Butterflies is a song written by UK Neo-soul duo Floetry, for singer Michael Jackson
.

The song was planned to be the third single release from Invincible
, and scheduled for release on February 12, 2002. For reasons unexplained, Sony cancelled the release of the single which caused a lot of controversy and sparked allegations, made by Jackson, that Sony was a racist company who did not care about their black artists. The song was however released to US radio stations and climbed to #2 on the US R&B charts, based on airplay alone. It also peaked at #14 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Some say the song is reminiscent of Steve March's 1977 song "Sweet for the Dutchman".
