Actors - Calculon

Calculon (voiced by Maurice LaMarche
) is a recurring character on the animated television series Futurama.

Calculon is an arrogant and pompous acting
robot. He mostly acts in melodramatic roles, and shows a preference for scenes and roles that allow him to yell Nooo! in an extremely dramatic manner. His most famous role is in the long-running soap opera All My Circuits, in which he plays the lead character (also named Calculon) and, presumably, his seven evil identical siblings.

In the episode The Honking, it is revealed that Calculon began his existence in the 20th century as a standard industrial robot. He was used in the development of Project Satan, the most evil vehicle ever made, and as a result he received the curse of the were-car. Since then he has been posing as an acting robot, upgrading his appearance every few decades to avoid suspicion. His former identities include Acting Unit 0.8, Thespomat and David Duchovny
.

In the episode The Devil's Hands Are Idle Playthings, Calculon credits the Robot Devil for his "unholy" acting talent. While this could simply be a coincidence, it could also be a reference to the fact Calculon owes his existence to Project Satan.
