Chad Michael Murray (born August 24, 1981, Buffalo, New York) is an American actor, model and teen idol.

Murray is best known for playing 'Lucas' in The WB's One Tree Hill, and also appeared on shows like Gilmore Girls and Dawson's Creek. He has modelled for Skechers, Tommy Hilfiger and Gucci since he was 17.

On April 16, 2005, Murray wed his One Tree Hill co-star Sophia Bush in Santa Monica, California. The couple announced their separation on September 26 after only five months of marriage. The marriage ended amid rumors of infidelity with Chad's high school sweet heart Brittney Boynton, in the tabloids.

Bush spoke of the breakup in an upcoming issue of the teen magazine CosmoGirl, stating "I can't say there are no hard feelings... I feel hurt, humiliated and broken hearted." She does not go into details about the break-up, but states that she is shocked at the accuracy of some of the reports about the reasons for the split (reports which include allegations that Murray cheated on her with Paris Hilton.)
