| Charles Matthew Hunnam (born 10 April 1980 in Newcastle, England) is an English actor. He is famous for playing Nathan Maloney in Queer as Folk (1999), and more recently appearing in film adaptations of Nicholas Nickleby (2002) and Cold Mountain (2003), and the feature Green Street (2005). He is slated to appear in Alfonso Cuaron’s film adpatation of The Children of Men, set for a 2006 release. Hunnam was married to Katharine Towne from 1999 to 2002. In 2005, he starred in Green Street as Pete Dunham, leader of the GSE football firm. His performance received lukewarm reviews, with many criticising his rendition of a Cockney accent.
