Colin Salmon (1962) is a British actor best known for playing the fictional character Charles Robinson in three James Bond films. Salmon was born in Luton, Bedfordshire, England.

Salmon was rumored as a possible contender to replace Pierce Brosnan as James Bond and has performed as agent 007 for actress screen tests prior to filming the 2002 Bond film Die Another Day
. Rumors surrounding Salmon intensified after Ladbrokes stopped taking bets on the identity of the new James Bond after receiving six £500 bets on Salmon, which they claim came out of the blue and could have been placed by people with inside knowledge . If Salmon had been chosen, he would have been the first black actor to play the role.

Recently Colin has appeared as David Tyrel in the Sky One UK Television series Hex.
