Craig Ward Anton (born August 28, 1962 in Omaha, Nebraska) is an American actor and comedian. Anton is most notable for being one of the original cast of comedians on sketch comedy series MADtv
and for his role as Lloyd Diffy in the Disney Channel series Phil of the Future.

Biography

Anton was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. He is the eldest son of A.W. & Eileen McBay Anton and father of three children. Anton only has one younger brother name Brian (born 1970) and one younger sister name Megan (born 1977). Anton attended R.M. Marrs junior high school. He later graduated from Burke High School in 1980. Anton began his career as a comedian on the college circuit. In 1984 he traveled the Mediterranean and Middle East as part of an all-comedy USO tour. He spent two months in Turkey, Greece, Bahrain, Italy, Israel and Spain entertaining our troops. In 1985 he was named Showtime's Funniest Person in Nebraska.

As of March 2006, Anton currently lives in Los Angeles, California with his wife, two children, their Australian shepherd, Wayne and cat, Snow White.

Career

Madtv

Anton was supposed to appear in the first season of Madtv, but was replaced at the last minute by Bryan Callen. He still stayed on the show as a featured cast member until he was let go at the end of season three. Anton was the eighth cast member of Madtv.

Phil of the Future

In Phil of the Future Anton plays Lloyd Diffy, a father and a paranoid engineer trying to fix a broken time machine. Lloyd's main goal is to find a way so that he and his family can return to their home in the year 2121 from the year 2004, in which they find themselves stranded. In addition, Lloyd is a lover of older music and he works at a hardware store. He is also very paranoid about the government figuring out he and his family are from the future.
