Biography

Crista Flanagan was born February 24, 1976 in Mount Vernon, Illinois) actor. Flanagan received a Master of Fine Arts from the University of California, Irvine, where she sharpened her theatrical skills in plays including Fool for Love, The Time of our Life, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, The Marriage of Figaro and Oklahoma!
. Her extensive background in theater led to the development of Flanagan's one-person show titled But wait…I have Impressions!. Flanagan's notable guest appearances on television include Curb Your Enthusiasm, The Practice, ER, and a reccurring role on You've Got a Friend. Flanagan currently lives in Los Angeles.

Flanagan officially joined the cast of MADtv in 2004 as a feature performer, for the tenth season. As of March 2006, Flanagan is a repretory member of the eleventh season (the current) cast. Among her recurring characters is one of two Krumping clown dancers (Nippy and Noodles) who takes a lickin' from her partner (Jordan Peele) but keeps on tickin' (The action resembles stage combat set to rap music). Another of her recurring characters is one of two nerdy girls who sell crafts while looking for men. ("Get jazzed for crafts!") In confrontational skits, her rubber-like facial expressions let her emulate a six-year-old on the verge of tears whose timidity and near tears seem to be a facade holding back a flood of emotions. Her other characters include stand-up commedian Luann Lockhart and roller skater, Peggy Partain.
