Darren James (born Darren Keith Edwards) is a former African-American pornographic actor.

James tested HIV-positive on April 13, 2004, after having unprotected anal sex with Brazilian porn star Bianca Biaggi during the shooting of the video "Split That Booty 2". As of january 1, 2006, James transferred the virus to 3 porn stars: Lara Roxx, Jessica Dee, and Miss Arroyo.

Unfounded rumors began and persist that a transvestite, and not Bianca, gave James the HIV virus. This has been strenuously denied by James and those close to him.

The ensuing fears of HIV infection caused a one month (end announced May 12, 2004) shutdown of production of adult movies in the United States.
