David Morrissey (born on June 21, 1964) is a leading British stage and screen actor.

David Morrissey was born in Everton, Liverpool, England, but has played roles requiring several different accents. He made his television debut in 1983, after training with Everyman's Youth Theatre in Liverpool. His wife is the novelist Esther Freud, with whom he has 2 children.

He is alleged to be 6'3" in height.
