David Patrick Taylor has written the book, music and lyrics for the stage musicals, Somewhere In the Dark, Neverland, Jesse James Wanted: Dead or Alive, A Winter's Tale a musical Dickens of a Christmas Carol and Yours Truly, Jack The Ripper.

Born in County Wicklow, Ireland, he was adopted by American parents. He began his career as an actor at age 7, starring as John Henry West in Carson McCullers', The Member of the Wedding. On Broadway, he has appeared in Oliver, The King And I, HAIR (for nearly 1000 performances) and a short stint in a Disney musical. The West Coast saw him star as Dr. Frank N. Furter in the original San Francisco production of The Rocky Horror Show and he toured the midwest as Jesus in Godspell. He has also appeared in, HAIR (National tour), The Sound of Music, Jacquel Brel, Neverland, Camelot, Guys and Dolls and You're A Good Man Charlie Brown. David originated the role of Bob Cratchit in his own critically acclaimed, A Winter's Tale. He won a MAG Award/Best Actor in a Musical for Godspell, a LA Critics Award/Best Actor in a Musical for HAIR and was nominated as Best Director of a Musical for the 2001 revival of HAIR in Los Angeles.

He has numerous commercials to his credit, sang on the original Burger King jingle and appeared on American Bandstand. While in NYC he spent time working as a model. He was partners in a dinner theatre venture and served as producer for productions of, Dames At Sea, The Lion In Winter, A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Forum, South Pacific and Dracula.

Mr. Taylor studied the art of comedy with teacher, Lucille Ball and attended The Royal College of Music in London. David has performed the task of "script doctor" for many Hollywood blockbusters and Broadway hits. For a brief time, he was the lead singer for the band, Neverland. He is divorced and has one son.
