| Denise Coffey (born 12 December, 1936 in Aldershot) is a British actress. After training at the College of Dramatic Art and then the Royal Scottish Academy of Music, Coffey began a career in rep. theatre in Edinburgh at the Gateway Theatre, then moving to the Palladium Theatre there. She later worked for the BBC as a radio interviwer, before enjoying a career in West End theatre. Notable film rôles have included "Sidonia" in the Waltz of the Toreadors in 1962, "Peg" in Georgy Girl in 1966, and "Soberness" in Far From the Madding Crowd in 1967. Notable television appearances include Do Not Adjust Your Set, Captain Fantastic, Girls About Town, End of Part One and the Stanley Baxter series. On radio, Coffey starred in the first season of The Burkiss Way, and has made guest appearances on several programmes, including I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue.
