Dhanush, one of the leading Tamil actors of this genre. His debut into kollywood happened along with the directional debut of his elder brother Selvaraghavan. The movie Thulluvadho illamai was a blockbuster, then came Kadhal Konden from the same team and proved to be another box-office hit. His success continued even with other director's film like Thiruda Thirudi and Devathai Kanden. Now his career is growing with mild successes at Box-office and still he is considered to be one of the leading heroes of Kollywood.

He is married to Aishwarya, the elder daughter of Rajni Kanth (Super Star of Tamil Cinema). He says that his strength is his self-confidence, his weakness lies in his tendency to trust people easily. And he finds his anger, short-tempered nature irritating!
