Dia Mirza, formerly known as Diya Mirza (born 9 December 1981 in Hyderabad, India) is an Indian model and actress.

She took part in the Miss India 2000, was second runner up and won the Miss Asia Pacific 2000 contest.

Film Career

She made her debut with Rehnaa Hai Terre Dil Mein opposite Madhavan. The film was not a box office success. A series of flops followed, among them Tumsa Nahin Dekha, alongside Emran Hashmi and Deewanapan opposite Arjun Rampal. In 2005, though in smaller roles, she had two hits: Parineeta
and Dus
. In 2006, she will be seen in Fight Club and Kabhi Bhi Kahin Bhi.

Personal life

Born to a German father and Bengali mother, her parents separated when she was six years old. She did advertisments for Emami and Lipton, before participating in the Miss India contest.
