| Richard John Cusack (29 August 1925, Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA - 2 June 2003) was an actor and filmmaker, and the father of actors Ann Cusack, Joan Cusack, and John Cusack. Until 1970, Cusack worked as an Clio award-winning advertising executive. Most of his acting roles were playing authority figures, such as a Senate Chairman, minister/chaplain, and Secretary of State; he played a judge in the TV movie Overexposed, and in theatrical releases Things Change and Eight Men Out. His 1971 abortion documentary The Committee won an Emmy Award. Cusack died in Evanston, Illinois, of pancreatic cancer.
