Richard John Cusack (29 August 1925, Manhattan, New York City, New York, USA - 2 June 2003) was an actor and filmmaker, and the father of actors Ann Cusack
, Joan Cusack
, and John Cusack
. Until 1970, Cusack worked as an Clio award-winning advertising executive.

Most of his acting roles were playing authority figures, such as a Senate Chairman, minister/chaplain, and Secretary of State; he played a judge in the TV movie Overexposed, and in theatrical releases Things Change and Eight Men Out
. His 1971 abortion documentary The Committee won an Emmy Award.

Cusack died in Evanston, Illinois, of pancreatic cancer.
