Don Warrington is an actor, originally from Trinidad and Tobago where he was born in 1952, who has been a familiar face on British television and stage for thirty years. Warrington was raised in Newcastle upon Tyne, England and joined his local repertory theatre aged 17, where he lost his Geordie accent.

He is chiefly known for playing Philip Smith in Rising Damp, alongside Leonard Rossiter and Richard Beckinsale. He has also appeared in crime drama CATS Eyes, Red Dwarf and portrayed Rassilon in several Doctor Who audio plays. Warrington will appear as "The President" in the television episode Rise of the Cybermen.

Well known for his suave, cultured voice, Warrington has also performed with the National Theatre, the English Shakespeare Company and the Bristol Old Vic.
