| Edgar Kennedy (b. April 26, 1890 in Monterey County, California; d. November 9, 1948) American film actor who was one of the original Keystone Kops. Kennedy worked in hundreds of films;most notably he worked in a number of Laurel and Hardy shorts. He was well known for a facial expression known as the "slow burn" when he became upset. He can be seen doing this expression in a memorable, but small role as a lemonade salesman in the Marx Brothers classic Duck Soup.He was the star of his own series of short domestic comedies from the early 1930's until his death. Kennedy died of throat cancer in 1948.
