Edmund Purdom is an English actor and voice actor. He was born on December 19, 1924 in Hertfordshire, England, and was educated by the Jesuits at St Ignatius' College and by the Benedictines before he began his film career.

He had a brief period of success in the United States, as his very good looks made him a heart-throb, but his career eventually ran out of steam. His most famous role was as the title character in The Egyptian. He has been married and divorced three times: his first wife, Anita Philips (or Phillips), the mother of his children; Linda Christian, ex-wife of Tyrone Power; and Alicia Darr, of Polish Jewish extraction.

He lives in Rome, Italy, and has worked extensively in the Italian B-movies and as a voice dubbing actor for many years (dubbing lines from Italian to English). He has also worked as a movie producer.
