Actors - Eduardo Cansino, Jr


Eduardo Cansino, Jr. (13 October 1919 - March 11, 1974) was an actor, the son of Volga Hayworth, a Ziegfeld Follies showgirl, and Spanish-Andalusian dance master Eduardo Cansino, Sr. He was the youngest brother of actress Rita Hayworth and actor Vernon Cansino. The Cansino family lived in a theatrical boarding house in Broadway where Eduardo Cansino, Sr. was appearing nightly with his sister Elisa as "The Dancing Cansinos". By 1929, however the family were having trouble finding a steady job on vaudeville so they moved out west to Hollywood. Eduardo Cansino, Jr. appeared in a fair number of films during the 1950s, but generally with small parts.

Death

Eduardo Cansino died of cancer at age of fifty-five, and is buried next to his brother Vernon at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
