Elena Carapetis is an Australian actress of Greek descent, known for her role as Jackie Kassis in Heartbreak High.

Biography

She graduated from Australia's National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) with a degree in Performing Arts (Acting) in 1996. She nagged her agent to get an audition for "Heartbreak High" (1994), and did a lot of preparation because she admired the show and really wanted a chance to get on it. She loves living in Australia, but also really enjoys traveling, and loves Europe and Africa. Her first paying job was as a bartender for her dad's first restaurant in Adelaide.

Trivia

Her favorite foods are Greek, Thai, Italian and Japanese.
Her mother is Greek Cypriot and her father is from the Greek island of Icaria.
