| Ferdinand Marian (August 14 1902 - August 7, 1946) was an Austrian actor. He was born in Vienna, then part of Austria-Hungary. His career was overshadowed by his appearance as the title character in Jud Süß, an infamous anti-Semitic German movie made in 1940 by Veit Harlan. This film, made under the supervision of Joseph Goebbels, is widely considered to be one of the most hateful depictions of Jews in film. Marian's depiction of the title character followed Nazi propaganda stereotypes of Jews having hooked noses and greasy hair. He died in a road accident in 1946 in Bavaria.
