Frances de la Tour (born July 30 1944) is a British actress best known for her role in the 1970s British sitcom, Rising Damp.

Born in Bovingdon, Hertfordshire, de la Tour is the sister of writer and actor Andy de la Tour. She found fame in Rising Damp, in which she appeared with Leonard Rossiter of Reginald Perrin fame and Richard Beckinsale, father to actress Kate Beckinsale. During that time, she was a member of the Trotskyist Workers Revolutionary Party alongside Vanessa Redgrave. She continued to work frequently with Redgrave, and later joined her political grouping, the Marxist Party.

She is known for her stage performances, notably in Tennessee Williams' play Small Craft Warnings in London's West End in 1973. Williams described her performance as one of the best he had seen by any actress in any play. In 2005, she appeared as Olympe Maxime, headmistress of Beauxbatons Academy, in the film version of Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
