| Gottfried John (born August 29, 1942 in Berlin) is a German actor. During the 1970s and 1980s, he played various roles in films by Rainer Werner Fassbinder. He is internationally known for his portrayals of the Russian general Ourumov in the James Bond film GoldenEye and Julius Caesar in Astérix et Obélix contre César. He lives with his wife in Belgium.
