Grant Taylor was born in Australia in 1917. He became an actor and his major role on Australian television was in the series 'Long John Silver' in which he played 'Patch' in a regular role in 1955. He moved to the UK and started work on the medical drama 'Emergency Ward 10'. He is however most famous for his role as General Henderson in the Gerry Anderson science fiction series UFO. His last appearance in the series was in the penultimate episode 'Mindbender'. He died of cancer the following year in 1971 aged 54.
