Harvey Herschel Kormen, professionally known as Harvey Korman (b. February 15, 1927) is an American actor born in Chicago, Illinois. He has performed in television and movie productions in the U.S. since 1960. His first big break was being a featured performer on The Danny Kaye Show (1963-1967), but he is probably best remembered for his performances on The Carol Burnett Show (1967-1978) and in the comedy films of Mel Brooks, most notably Blazing Saddles
(1974).

His early television work included voice-over work on Tom and Jerry
(1965) and The Flintstones (1965-1966). Recently he has done voice work for the live-action version of The Flintstones (1994) as well as the animated The Secret of NIMH 2: Timmy to the Rescue (1998).

Korman has been nominated for six Emmy Awards, and won four (in 1969, 1971 (for Outstanding Achievement By a Performer in Music or Variety), 1972, and 1974). He was also nominated for four Golden Globes, winning in 1975.
