| Herman van Veen (born 14 March, 1945) is a Dutch musician, actor and songwriter/writer. He is the creator of the Dutch cartoon Alfred J. Kwak, for which he also wrote and performed the theme music. Van Veen was born in Utrecht, The Netherlands, he started performing with Erik van der Wurff in his twenties and built a career that made him especially popular in Belgium and Germany. He is the father of Dutch actress Babette van Veen and a Unicef ambassador.
