Huang Biren () is a very popular television actress in Singapore. Her delicate facial features, lanky frame and height have helped her secure leading roles in numerous drama serials. She joined the former SBC after completing its eighth Professional Drama Performers' Training course in 1988. Having been in Mediacorp for almost 17 years, she has become a household name for many Singaporeans. She has acted in a variety of roles, ranging from contemporary to period drama to comedy. In addition, Huang is also an experienced compere. She has been named one of the actresses in Mediacorp to have the height and body shape for a model.

Her lead role in Stand By Me (drama), where she portrayed a patient and caring wife of a paraplegic, won her the Best Actress Award in Star Awards '98, an annual award ceremony for TV personalities. Biren went on to other lead roles such as Kelian in Beautiful Connection (2002) and Lucky in My Lucky Charm (2005), where she again won the Best Actress awards. Her performance in many dramas has led to her multiple nominations in the Best Actress category at the Star Awards. She has been nominated Best Actress in years 1998, 1999, 2001, 2002, 2004 and 2005.

Bi Ren has also consistently won the Top 10 Most Popular Female Artistes. She is married, and has a son who is born in the year 2000. Huang has also been highly respected by many of the new Mediacorp Artistes such as Jeanette Aw and Felicia Chin, just to name a few.

She has also been very popular with her co-stars and other Mediacorp Artistes such as Zoe Tay, Pan Lingling, Hong Huifang, Chen Hanwei, Zheng Geping and many other more. With more than 40 dramas under her belt, supportive friends and fans and numerous achievements, her career will definitely soar to greater heights. She has been the ambassador for Swarovski Jewellery, Mitsubishi, Bionn and other companies.
