| "I Keep Forgettin'" is a song written by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. Michael McDonald recorded it as a duet with his sister Maureen for If That's What It Takes, his first solo album away from the Doobie Brothers, and it reached number 4 on the Billboard Pop Singles charts. David Bowie recorded a version of it for his Tonight album. It was voted one of the worst songs in Bowie's career by his fans at the web site. The song was sampled by Warren G on his hit single Regulate, featuring Nate Dogg.
