Irene Ng (born July 30, 1974 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia) is an actress best known for playing Shelby Woo on Nickelodeon's The Mystery Files of Shelby Woo, which aired from 1996 to 1999.

Ng moved from Malaysia to Allentown, Pennsylvania in 1989, at age 15, with her parents, sister and brother. She attended Allentown's William Allen High School. At the age of 16, she was discovered by television agents when she won a Pennsylvania beauty contest.

Ng has had starring roles on All My Children and Figure It Out
. She has guest starred on Law & Order and Teen Angel. She also has appeared in several movies, including The Joy Luck Club
and Oliver Stone's Heaven & Earth
. She was the first Asian to ever appear on the cover of ''TV Guide.

Ng is a graduate of Harvard University. She is now a banker for Merrill Lynch.
