Irene Vernon (born Irene Vergauwen on January 16, 1922 in Mishawaka, Indiana) was an American actress.

Vernon's career began with small uncredited roles in 40s movies. Vernon ended her movie career in 1952, but during the 1950s, she moved over to television roles.

Throughout the early 50s, Vernon guest starred in shows such as Fireside Theatre, The Lone Ranger, Danger, Flight, and The Donna Reed Show. It wasn't until 1964 that Vernon got the best role of her career. Vernon was cast as Louise Tate on the hit television series Bewitched. Vernon held the role until 1966. However, after writer Danny Arnold was fired from the series, the producers, actress Elizabeth Montgomery and Montgomery's husband, William Asher, pressured Vernon, due to Vernon's friendship with Arnold, to leave the show, although the official reason given was that Vernon's husband was ill.

Thus, Kasey Rogers took over the role in a same character, different actor situation.

Irene Rosenberg (as she was known at the time of her death) died on April 21, 1998, in South Bend, Indiana at the age of 76.
