Irina Allegrova is a popular Russian singer. Irina Aleksandrovna Allegrova was born on January 20th. She is an only child. She was born in Rostov-on-Don. Her father took the last name Allegrov as a pseudonym when he was just 13, but Irina was born under the name. She was brought up in a theatrical family with famous people who frequented their house and impressed the young girl. Irina studied piano and ballet as a young girl. She was fortunate to have her parents stay together throughout her life. Irina gave birth to one daughter, Lala, at a young age. She left Lala with her parents and moved to Moscow to become a famous singer at the young age of 22. She had a hard start, only one pair of shoes, but was lucky enough to sing at restaurants.

In the early 80's she became lead soloist in David Tukhmanov's group - ElectroClub. In the late 80's Irina had a meeting with Oscar Feltsman, who later wrote several songs for Irina and gave her a chance at a solo career.

Irina's debut album "My Destined One - Suzheny/Wanderer - Strannik" was written and produced by her then neighbor and friend - Igor Nikolaev, who "truly understands a woman's heart". That is a big reason why, Irina's songs touched so many and her album, sprouted by the song... "Wanderer" (1991-1992) became #1 and stayed #1 for nearly a full year.

Irina was offered (that means a lot in Russia) and thus chose beautiful songs from diverse composers and released her next album, "Ugonschitsa" (1994-1995). With it, she won the Russian Grammy - (Ovatsiya) as Best Pop Female Star. She toured the US after that release.

Irina began to work with Krutoi, changed her image to her natural brunette self, got married, had a grandson, bought an amazing house on the outskirts of Moscow - to which she added a pool, a sauna etc... It looks like a mini Hermitage. Irina and Krutoi released two albums together, "I will disperse the clouds with my hands" and "Un-ending Romance" (1996, 1998).

Irina shortly got divorced, released a self-healing album titled aptly, "Teatr" (1999) and went on tour around the world.

Recently, Irina has been working exclusively with Aleksei Garnizov on "The Po Lezviyu Lyubvi (On the razor's edge of love) trilogy". A new album is planned for release in late 2005.

Irina has since written 3 novellas about love, has been a leader in changing how Russian journalists write and respect performer's lives (by creating an award ceremony where she and other major stars gave out the 'Golden Duck' to those journalists who fabricated the worst lies) and has become an ICON to the people of Russia in all countries. Her interviews are filled with depth and from-the-gut responses which help peoples' lives.

Irina continues to be one of Russia's premiere Sex Symbols, never having gone under the knife. She uses honey face masks, diet pills, relaxation and swims regularly in her pool to keep her figure slim and beautiful.

One can only admire this powerhouse person, legend and performer; who has complete control over her business and her reputation is as strong and clear as the most pure diamond. She loves those, by the way!
