"It's Gonna Be Me is a song written by David Bowie in 1974, and intended for his Young Americans
album. When Bowie recorded "Fame" and "Across the Universe" with John Lennon, this song got shuffled away from the album.

It was not released until 1990 as a bonus track on the Rykodisc CD release of Young Americans. In 2006, a different version of the song with strings was released on the Collectors Edition of Young Americans.

Live versions

A live recording from the 1974 tour was released on the semi-legal album A Portrait in Flesh.
