| Jack P. Shepherd (born 14 January 1988) is an English actor best known for his role in Coronation Street playing David Platt, son of Gail and Martin Platt. He joined the show in April 2000, replacing Thomas Ormson in the role. He appeared in Oliver! at Bradford's Alhambra theatre. In late 2005 his character became more central as he tries to deal with his dad Martin moving away to Liverpool, and his mother Gail becoming involved with another man.
