Jacqueline Bracamontes van Hoorde, Nuestra Belleza Mexico 2000 ("Miss Mexico" 2000) was born in 1979 in Guadalajara, Jalisco México. The oldest daughter of the ex-trainer of the team Las Chivas Rayadas de Guadalajara, Jesus Bracamontes and Jacqueline Van-Hoorde. Jacqueline represented Mexico in Miss Universe 2001. She always stand out by her good grades of which her parents are conceited constantly.

Catholic by conviction traveled to the United States with the religious movement Legionary of Christ on her spiritual preparation. When she finished its baccalaureate, she took a suitcase and traveled single to France where she learned the Gallic language.

When she returned to Mexico, she began to model for some magazines of youthful fashions and with the acceptance of her family, who supported her at all times, but not before finishing her career of Sciences Communication. After seeing her in a cover, Lupita Jones, ex-Miss Universe and director of the contest Nuestra Belleza Mexico (Miss Mexico) called her staying as finalist and winner in her state, later to represent Mexico in Miss Universe 2001, that was carried out in Puerto Rico. Jacqueline Bracamontes was prepared almost during a year and when the day arrived, the international press overturned its attention on her, because the chronicles of the footbridge described her as one as the favorites to raise itself with the crown. Nevertheless, the examining judges decided to grant the first place to Denise Quiñones.
